There have been SO many changes in our lives the last few months, but the most recent change was moving from our little ranch house into our new (old) house last week. We bought this 1832 farmhouse from my grandma, who has lived here the last 30 years. When my grandparents bought this house about 30 years ago, it needed quite a bit of work.

My grandpa passed away a few years ago, and we all still miss him terribly. The restoration of the house was definitely a labor of love by both of my grandparents. There are so many things in the house that bring back memories of him. When my grandma mentioned that she might want to downsize, we told her that whenever she was ready we would be interested in buying the house. As it turned out, this was the year it came to fruition.
When I started Cedar & Stone Farmhouse earlier this year, this was the house that I named it for. We feel so fortunate and grateful to be able to live here and to bring our first baby home here in February.
